Soil Tunnel Trailer Rentals
How It Works
Reserve Your Date
Submit a reservation request for your event, and WVFMA will follow up with a custom quote based on:
- Event location
- Staffing needs
- Event length and operating hours
- Transportation requirements
Payment is required upon quote approval to secure your reservation date.
Booking Recommendations
We recommend reserving the Soil Tunnel Trailer at least 30 days in advance, especially during peak event seasons when availability may be limited.
Rental Requirements
To transport and host the trailer, renters must provide:
- A 2″ ball hitch for towing
- Full coverage automobile insurance for the towing vehicle
- A flat, secure location for trailer setup and parking
Pricing Structure
Rental fees may be paid online or by reserving over the phone and mailing payment by check.
Conservation Partner Events
No-Cost Educational Use
The Soil Tunnel Trailer is available at no cost for approved events hosted by:
- West Virginia Conservation Districts
- West Virginia Conservation Agency (WVCA)
- West Virginia Department of Agriculture (WVDA)
Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for no-cost use:
- Events must be scheduled at least 30 days in advance
- The trailer must be transported by a licensed and insured driver
- Staff from a Conservation District, WVCA, or WVDA must be present
- The event must be free and educational in nature
Community & School Events
Custom Quote Pricing
Base Rental Rate
- $250 per day
(Includes up to 8 hours plus standard setup and transport time.)
Additional Costs May Include
- Multi-day event pricing
- Additional travel distance
- Staffing assistance
- Extended event hours
Mileage Fees
- $0.70 per mile (GSA mileage rate)
*Additional $0.25 per mile towing fee
Optional Staffing
- $75 per day per staff member
All rental proceeds directly support soil conservation education and outreach efforts across West Virginia.
