The WVFMA Farmers Market Education Tunnel is a 15-foot inflatable learning experience designed to bring local food, farming, and conservation education to life in a fun, interactive way for both children and adults.
Serving as a portable outdoor classroom, the tunnel features large, colorful educational displays with engaging artwork and easy-to-read information focused on:
- Different types of farmers markets
- How farmers’ markets support local farmers and communities
- Methods of growing and producing food
- Food miles and the importance of buying local

Designed to be welcoming and accessible for all ages, the Education Tunnel encourages hands-on learning, curiosity, and conversation about where our food comes from and the importance of supporting local agriculture.

The tunnel can be enjoyed as a self-guided exhibit or paired with activities, games, and guided walkthroughs to create a fully interactive learning environment.

Tunnel Specifications
- Dimensions: 20’ long × 15’ wide (not including tie-offs)
Height Clearance Needed: Minimum 15’ - Tunnel Weight: Approximately 135 lbs (team lift recommended)
- Blower Unit: Separate 2’ × 2’ blower box
- Power Requirement: Standard electrical outlet required
Setup Guidelines
- Must be placed on a flat surface free of gravel or debris
- Indoor and outdoor setup available (weather dependent)
- Tunnel cannot be installed on gravel surfaces
- Tunnel must be properly secured with weights/tie-offs
- Clear setup space of at least 20’ × 15’ × 15’ required
Rental Requirements
- Indoor or outdoor use must be specified during booking
- Event insurance is required
- Tunnel must be returned clean, dry, and in good condition
- Depending on scheduling and region, renters may be asked to assist with setup or return logistics

Pickup & Delivery:
Pickup is available in New Martinsville, WV. WVFMA will make every effort to coordinate transportation closer to your event through normal travel schedules when possible.
Please note: Staff assistance is not included with standard rentals. If event staffing is requested, WVFMA staff will follow up regarding availability and additional costs.
